An experiential choreography of movement, text, and projection exploring the relationship between landscape and the body in synergy.

"For the blue is not in the place those miles away at the horizon, but in the atmospheric distance between you and the mountains” – Rebecca Solnit

Enter the Grr and step into the blue haze of the horizon. Be washed in the nostalgia of imagery and emerge from a world of longing absurdity as animated sweeping skylines and topographic illustrations dance across the canopy of the yurt.

In Reside in Blue, the human body collides with the world around it. An experiential choreographed performance of movement, text, and projection, this is an exploration of the responsive relationship between landscape and the body.

In conversation between these artistic forms, performers Emma Fishwick and Emily Bowman uncover the impact of distance, displacement, and the associational role of the colour blue within this relationship.
